ESPASSO, Brazilian design specialists to launch in the UK
ESPASSO have announced the launch of their first space outside of the US, with the launch of a dedicated showroom at 19 Greek Street, Soho, London.
Opening on 13 September 2012, the launch will coincide with the London Design Festival, one of the most important evens in the UK’s design calendar for which ESPASSO will present a series of talks and events.
ESPASSO are committed to conserving Brazil’s rich 20th century design heritage while at the same time supporting leaders Brazilian designers.
Carlos Junqueira, founder of ESPASSO, says of the launch in the UK, “We are very excited to open a London showroom, which will allow us the opportunity to show our collection to a broader audience, as well as more convenient access to the works of our designers for our existing clientele based abroad. Collaborating with 19 Greek Street was a natural fit for us, and we are looking forward to bringing the best of Brazilian design, past and present, to London.”
Onsite works from mid-century masters Sergio Rodrigues and Jorge Zalszupin, future classics by contemporary designers Carlos Motta, Etel Carmona, Arthur Casas, Claudia Moreira Salles, and Isay Weinfield. Iconic re-edition pieces by Branco & Preto are also featured.
