Aesop-Marimekko Sauna Duet
In a meeting of the senses Aesop collaborates with Finnish design house Marimekko.
Inspired by the rituals of Scandinavian bathing culture, the Aesop-Marimekko Sauna Duet comprises of a body scrub and body balm. The refreshing formulations contain aromatic essential oils of Fir Needle, Sage Leaf and Pine Needle, along with purifying ingredients to help detoxify the skin.
Renowned for its original prints and colours, Marimekko presents the duet in a cotton bag featuring the ‘Vellamo’ print. The pattern, designed by Maija Louekari for Marimekko is an interpretation of moving water inspired by the Finish national epic, Kalevala. In keeping with Aesop’s philosophy the products are packaged in recyclable plastic jars.
The Aesop-Marimekko Sauna Duet will be available from the end of April 2013 at Aesop and Marimekko stores, as well as online.
