Celebrating New York
Inspired by what is a particularly significant month for design in New York, fluoro has curated a selection of notable exhibitions and art and furniture fairs focusing around the world of design to keep you informed and inspired. The month of May will celebrate New York.
From interviews with Nina Tolstrup about her recent collaboration with Marc by Marc Jacobs to an insight into 180 contemporary art galleries, each showing a range of artists including Yoko Ono, Barbara Kruger and Gilbert & George, the city of New York will shine with art, music, design and fashion.
Pushing the boundaries of what defines design, is another aspect of the New York focused month of May, with the exploration of design across a range of disciplines. Photographer and political activist Takuma Nakhira who radically changed Japanese visual culture, will be presenting his first solo exhibit in the United States.
fluoro will also take you on a journey using photography, by offering a unique way to discover what New York would look like if you could still see the stars.
Critically acclaimed New York artist, ERIMAJ will bring his hypnotic grooves and 70’s jazz-funk to Melbourne as part of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. fluoro are giving away tickets to a number of key Festival events. Giveaway launching on Monday 6 May.
