Smith’s collections are often characterised by being inherently ‘British’. This reputation can be traced to Smith’s subtle design elements such as floral suit linings and cable knit cricket jumpers. The Britain Collection, a capsule within the Paul Smith London line, is crafted specifically from cloth from Yorkshire, England and pays tribute to the heritage of the brand.
‘Hello, My Name is Paul Smith’ on display at the Design Museum, London is currently providing an insight behind the workings and inspirations of Paul Smith. The exhibition documents his growth from starting his own label to showing seasonally in Paris.
Paul Smith will show his AW14/15 menswear Menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week at 3.30pm (CEST) on Sunday 19 January 2014.
