The Materiality of Rick Owens
In the lead up to Rick Owens AW14/15 collection, fluoro reflects on the designer’s diversity. When fluoro spoke to Owens about his furniture collection, Prehistoric, his innovative approach to materials was something that evidently carried across to his fashion.
“To me, the materials are a starting point when I design something,” said Owens. Speaking of how the use of certain materials can enhance a message he says, “It’s like the world around us, it’s a mix of high and low.
