Antonio Brasko: Brandalism
fluoro takes you to Antonio Brasko’s Los Angeles exhibition ‘Brandalism’, which looks to the influence of street art and graffiti in the fashion world.
Through the use of brand marks, iconic colours, and spray cans, ‘Brandalism’ seeks to reintroduce the ideology of vandalism, branding and fashion from an experimental design perspective. The exhibition is composed of over 30 individual pieces, from oversized art prints to the original spray paint designs, and includes brands as diverse as Chanel, Burberry, Dior, Nike and Supreme.
Brandalism was born out of a concept that saw Brasko work with his passions and explore fashion, art and graffiti. For an insight into Brasko’s original spray paint designs read fluoro’s interview with Brasko here.
Brandalism is on display until Saturday 22 March 2014 at the Seventh Letter Gallery in Los Angeles, USA.
