Moscow Fashion Week AW14/15
Over 70 designers will show their AW14/15 collections at Moscow Fashion Week, Russia.
The week will open with prominent Russian designer Slava Zaitsev. The designer has been practicing since the 1960s and has pushed the potential of the Soviet industry, overcoming the challenge of limited resources and materials during the 1980s. Zaitsev is known for his theatrical collections with strong Slavic influences. He will present his AW14/15 collection at 4.00pm (MSK) on Thursday 27 March 2014.
Also bringing theatrical elements into their designs are Yegor Zaitsev and Ria Keburia, who both explore the technical capabilities of fabric. Zaitsev is renowned for experimenting with folded material and dramatic makeup to evoke Elizabethan design; Keburia is known for her intricate headwear, which was a key focus of the Georgian designer’s last AW collection. Zaitsev will present his collection at 5.00pm (MSK) on Thursday 27 March 2014, with Keburia presenting her collection at 6.00pm (MSK) on Saturday 29 March 2014.
The collections of Yasya Minochkina and POUSTOVIT will bring a Ukrainian influence to the Moscow Fashion Week AW14/15. Feminine lines and minimalism define Minochkina’s collections. She holds a particular interest in working with high quality fabrics, which is seen through details such as using natural silk to line her jackets. Likewise POUSTOVIT’s collections hold a sense of purity, with clean cuts and natural fabrics. Minochkina will present her collection at 7.00pm (MSK) and POUSTOVIT at 8.00pm (MSK) on Friday 28 March 2014.
Moscow Fashion Week takes place from Thursday 27 – Monday 31 March 2014 in Russia.
