Yang Liu: Man Meets Woman
A new title by designer Yang Liu utilises bold pictograms to visualise the differences she sees in men and women.
Man meets Woman documents topics that include long held stereotypes and more recently developed controversial views of gender. From love and relationships to careers and social behaviours, Liu visually presents a topical view of society.
Man Meets Woman continues Liu’s interest in social documentation and follows on from her title East meets West, which through the same use of pictograms documented Liu’s impression of the differences between German and Chinese people and their culture.
Man meets Woman is released through TASCHEN and is the first book in a new TASCHEN series that will feature Liu’s minimalistic visualisations.
