Jeff Mills: Light from the Outside World
American DJ and producer Jeff Mills’ latest project will see him perform alongside the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Australia.
Mills was one of the founding members of Underground Resistance, a collective that only performed in ski masks and combat suits. Continually influencing the techno genre, he established the record label Axis in 1992 with fellow producer Robert Hood.
Partnering with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra the project, titled Light from the Outside World, will see Mills perform alongside the 60-piece orchestra. The performance will span over 90 minutes and include many of the classics from Mills’ catalogue.
Light from the Outside World will take place as part of Melbourne Festival on Friday 10 October 2014 with Hamer Hall at Melbourne, Australia’s Arts Centre.
