ASVOFF 7: Exploring Dream and Reality
Exploring the vast dream state and reality mixed with the fashion film genre, will be the focus of the 7th edition of the A Shaded View on Fashion Film festival (ASVOFF).
This years ASVOFF includes a programme curated by Diane Pernet—the festivals founder—of iconic, influential and inspirational leading figures from both fashion and film.
The three-day event will have over 100 films from 36 countries, and festivities that will explore the ever-evolving medium, in-keeping with ASVOFF’s coveted title as the groundbreaking festival that is forging a path forward for the genre.
Pernet, was a visionary for her creation of the ASVOFF as the first film festival dedicated to fashion, style and beauty back in 2008, and now with its 7th edition, she is focusing on her belief that “The world of fashion and film both work around the notion of dream and reality.”
The likes of cinema masters and image-making legends will grace the festival, but it’s set to have a special tribute to the trailblazing Jodorowsky family, as well as screenings for short films competing for ASVOFF’s coveted prizes, as the main event.
Held at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France, ASVOFF 7, will run from Friday 21 November to Sunday 23 November 2014.
