Miami Horror: New Album Release
Australian Indie-Electronic band Miami Horror releases their second album All Possible Futures.
The new album is the result of the band’s experimentation, inspiration and travels. It is an eclectic mix of influences presenting a newfound identity directed at reinforcing their position in the electronic music scene, globally. The album release follows the video premier of the band’s single Love Like Mine and presents 15 tracks of introspective songs with disco, pop party tunes. The album mixes the eccentricity of Talking Heads, New Order and INXS with pop inspiration from Michael Jackson and Paul Simon and dreamy sounds of Fleetwood Mac and Tame Impala.
The band’s producer Ben Plant emphasised, that “because this was our sophomore album and a defining time in our career we really wanted to ensure that we creatively explored every direction we could possibly go.”
Truly, in preparation for their second album the band spent the last 3 years living between the US and Australia writing in exotic locations from log cabins in California’s mountains to the sunny beaches of Australia. Their choice to move to LA was based on their quest for inspiration and experimentation in the hub of alternative electronica and dance music that comes out of LA. According to Plant “it [LA] has been a strong influence on many of our favourite records from the 60s-80s and we wanted to allow it to influence this record.”
All Possible Futures is now available for purchase. A limited-edition vinyl is also available for pre-order via Remote Control Records.
