Gengahr: A Dream Outside
North London indie-band Gengahr are set to release their debut album A Dream Outside.
After releasing their debut single Powder in 2014 the band soon became one of the United Kingdom’s most followed emerging bands. The ringing psych-pop sound set by the first single was reaffirmed in another release, She’s a Witch and most recently in a follow-up by saccharine pop track Heroine. All three tracks feature in the new album and set the tone of what the new album will bring.
A Dream Outside features 11 tracks of festival-ready melodies marked by the bands original dreamscape sound with woozy twists combined with emotional falsetto vocals and gloomy guitar depths, which has captured the hearts of a broad audience within a few months.
In celebration of their album release, Gengahr have shared a trailer for the album including behind the scenes shots of the band preparing for their album launch party in Dalston Rio Cinema in London. The film is supported by segments from the album and features previously unheard material from the tracks Trampoline and Dark Star.
A Dream Outside will be made available in vinyl and CD format from Monday 15 June 2015 and can be pre-ordered on the band’s website.
