Wayne Snow: Rosie
Tartelet Records presents a new 5-track EP by vocalist Wayne Snow titled Rosie.
Wayne Snow is a deep house and world music Nigerian born vocalist and songwriter who has become known for his subtle, soulful vocals. Becoming a resident of Berlin, Snow has put a tough past behind him, to now use music as his liberator. Continually collaborating with German producer Max Graef, he creates soulful music reminiscent of the 1990’s American hip-hop and R&B.
Snow first made his appearance in the music world on Max Graef’s widely acclaimed debut album in 2014. His own solo EP Red Runner followed this appearance and in the same year, Snow featured in French producer Darius’ EP Helios.
The new EP from Snow sees the artist team up with Max Graef once more to deliver a fresh badge of rugged soul combined with off kilter chords, deep bass lines and dusty beats topped with Snow’s falsetto vocals. Featureing three tracks titled Interlude, Rosie, and Drunk, the EP also features two remixes of Rosie with emerging artist Nu Guinea and German hip-hop producer Hurbert Daviz. The tracks present a variety of sounds ranging from rugged, yet warm soul in Rosie; a dreamy falsetto in Interlude; to MPC2000 programmed drums, a deep bass line, and off-sounding Rhodes chords in Drunk.
Rosie is available on iTunes.
