Chanel Cruise 2014/2015
With the futuristic metropolis skyline as the backdrop, Chanel presented its 2014/2015 Cruise collection on The Island in Dubai.
White, beige and shades of dark blue and crimson formed the basis of a collection that was inspired by elements of oriental art. The collection was one of femininity, formed through both refined structure and flowing styles. Wide legged trousers in sheer fabrics and draping dresses were contrasted against structured tweed jackets.
In a nod to the collection’s Oriental inspiration, white kaftan shirts were heavily embellished with beading detail. In other looks models walked the runway holding light flowing scarves, replacing the traditional handbag accessory. Guests viewed the collection seated on the floor on cushions.
A pair of gold pants referenced the location of Dubai, a city that glimmers.
