Hiroshi Fujiwara: Fragment
The first monograph on the Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara pays homage to his influence on contemporary fashion, music and design.
The hardcover release titled Fragment focuses on Fujiwara as a pioneer of street wear in Japan and the globe. In the foundation years of his career Fujiwara collaborated with the likes of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood. This interest in punk coupled with his passion for hip-hop and skate culture has lead him to become one of the most influential style makers of our time.
Fujiwara has also become known for his iconic sneaker designs and has released numerous styles that have become extremely sought after. A long time collaborator with Nike, Fujiwara also is at the helm of Tokyo-based label Fragment Design.
The title is a graphic representation of Fujiwara’s career with contributions by Sarah Lefel, Creative Director of Colette and electronic musician Ino Hidefumi. The title is published by Rizzoli and is available for AUD$60 in bookstores online and around the world.
