Cosmos: Limited and Limitless, Existence and Co-Existence
The space around us has always been a mystery, even to the greatest of minds. Now, a new exhibition titled Cosmos, opens this dialogue through art by looking at the overall correspondence between the individual and space, resources, nature and the self.
The Minsheng Art Museum in Shanghai, China is hosting the exhibition, which includes hundreds of works from 52 artists and seven art groups from 12 countries and regions that include China, France, the United States, Japan, Finland, the Palestinian Territory and others.
Each piece featured throughout the exhibition play on the central theme of space and human interaction. Viewers will be able to reflect on the ambiguity of existence and begin to inquire into the truth, nature and life, through the artwork.
We look to the work of Berndnaut Smilde, an artist who we featured across fluoro for his work titled Unflattened, that was based off the ethereal weightlessness of Nimbus.
Cosmos is comprised of several modules including Poetic Sound, Displacement of Space and will be available for view until Sunday 19 April 2015, at Shanghai’s Minsheng Art Museum in China.
