Soulland Meets Colette Paris
Emerging Copenhagen-based brand Soulland, have created a unique SS15 fashion collection exclusively for the Colette Paris.
The limited SS15 collection associates to the Tuileries Gardens in Paris’ 1st Arrondissement through illustrations of the garden’s sculptures on silk shirts and prints on the back of suit jackets. Crewnecks and t-shirts have prints referring back to the initial opening day of the park by the Tuileries Palace. As such, it reflects the everyday Parisian aesthetics while honouring the ever-present merchandise that can be bought all around the Tuileries Gardens in Paris.
Silas Adler, founder and designer of Soulland, found his inspiration in Paris’ classic, yet timeless nature – a city that refuses to renew itself, but still moves forward without changing too much. By using elements of tourist merchandise Adler merged this classic Parisian image and merged it with some counterculture creating a look of an imaginary skater of the Tuileries Garden.
The fashion collection consists of a suit with blazer jacket and suit pants, both with silk lining, a shorts-sleeved silk shirt, silk scarf, an all-over printed t-shirt and a sweatshirt with embroidery.
