Macadam Mambo
DJs Sacha Mambo and Guillaume Des Bois, founders of Macadam Mambo record label, have released a new album titled Macadam Mambo DJ’s – Ultima Sensazione.
Characteristic of its creators the album will comprise an original variety of sunshine music, weird tunes, and good vibes, with a touch of Italian sound. It has been produced as two LPs presented in a colourful cover made by French artist Rémy Mattei. It is available in a limited edition of 500 copies.
Mambo and Des Bois established Macadam Mambo in 2008, initially as a collective for DJs to organise parties in the French cities of Paris and Lyon. Their passion for music later drove them to take Macadam Mambo to another, more professional level, turning it into a record label. The label started out releasing edits later moving into releasing new artists’ productions. By 2014 Macadam Mambo had released its 20th record. Get a taste of their tunes to the right.
According to the founders the label does not focus on any particular theme and covers anything from euro disco and synth-pop to Italo, EBM, library, folkloric music and exotic tunes “The whole idea behind Macadam Mambo is good music, by good people for good parties. We simply want to put out good music, just as long as it’s special to us, the more obscure and the weirder the better!”
Macadam Mambo has featured a wide range of artists including Takeshi Kouzuki, Albion, Raphael Top-Secret, Traxx, Joe’s Bakery Band, Dunkeltier and Tokyo Matt.
