Venice Biennale: John Pawson
John Pawson’s iconic project for Swarovski, ‘Perspectives,’ travels to the Venice Biennale revealing a new view of Andrea Palladio’s architectural masterpiece, the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore.
‘Perspectives,’ is a luminous art work created using the largest Swarovski lens made, ‘Perspectives’ will be placed beneath the central cupola in the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore, providing visitors with architectural perspectives beyond the range of the naked eye.
The installation uses the largest Swarovski lens ever made. ‘Perspectives’ was first installed at St. Paul’s Cathedral, London as part of the 2011 London Design Festival. fluoro featured the project.
‘Perspectives’ is open for viewing until Sunday 24 November 2013 at the Basilica di San Giorgio Maggiore.
