Art Basel continues its 2013 journey. It returns to its hometown in Basel, Switzerland for its 44th edition at Messe Basel.
Basel is a cultural hub of Switzerland with a selection of world-class theatres, concert halls and museums. Galleries, such including Kunstmuseum Basel, hold some of the world’s most significant historical artworks.
The 2013 Art Basel event in Switzerland will display work that ranges from the early 20th century to the most contemporary works of today. The central ‘Galleries’ section will host a range of sculpture, drawing, installation, photography and video works. While the ‘Unlimited’ sector will provide galleries with an opportunity to display large-scale artworks that are usually beyond the limitations of an art fair stand.

– Maurizio Nannucci: The Italian conceptual artist is known for his exploration of language and love of neon text, as seen in ‘whichever word’ (pictured). Nannucci has created 168 neon sentences throughout his career.
– Naoya Hatakeyama: The Japanese photographer transforms the lights of Tokyo, presented on lightboxes his photographs are a calm view of a energetic city.
Art Basel takes place in Basel, Switzerland from Thursday 13 June until Sunday 16 June 2013 at Messe Basel.
