Lana Del Rey: Tropico
Following the success of her album ‘Born to Die’, Lana Del Rey will release a short film titled ‘Tropico’.
The 30-minute film reveals a dark side of Los Angeles, featuring Del Rey amongst strip clubs and urban decay. The feature also contains numerous biblical references and religious motifs. Model and actor Shaun Ross stars alongside Del Rey.
Written by Del Rey and directed by Anthony Mandler, ‘Tropico’ is a tale of redemption told to the music of ‘Body Electric’ ‘Gods and Monsters’ and ‘Bel Air’ – all tracks taken from Lana’s “Born To Die” – The Paradise Edition album.
‘Tropico’ the film and EP will be released on Thursday 5 December 2013.
